KIRKUS REVIEW

Timothy Patrick Fergus Kevin Sean Desmond McGillicuddy (for short) is a leprechaun assigned to the United States to have the runway of an air line, building in Ireland, moved from the little people's land. Caught in chewing gum, he is rescued by Brian O'Connor, aged 10, and his adventures in trying to get an audience with the President, in threatening and defying the president of the New World Airlines, together with his belief that ""mischief is me nature"", involve him and Brian in a quiz show, an essay writing contest, strikes, the persuading of the board of directors of the air line that leprechauns are a force to be recognized and properly dealt with. And with a bang-up parade -- on St. Patrick's Day- Mr. McGillicuddy can go home to his pot of gold.... A small dose of innocent humor carries its story impishly.
