CAREERS IN EDUCATION

This book is aimed at those who have taught for twenty years as well as those who are looking for their first job and it emphasizes the importance of planning ahead- since the experience you may have had, or the position or salary you may be looking for, are restrictive factors in changing jobs in this field. After determining what you want to do (school vs. college, teacher vs. supervisor or principal) and where, and then matching it up, this then goes on to indicate agencies and organizations which are helpful -- and in considerable detail, the preparation of letters of inquiry, data sheets, references, preparatory to the personal interview. A last section deals with college courses and job clinics which should extend this guidance to students.
