This small volume of poetry has a curious charm. Simply, lyrically and unobtrusively it expresses its rapture over nature and homely country things, the very same things that Robert Frost or R.P. Tristam Coffin and Winifred Welles have been ecstatic about in their more sophisticated, more musical, more skillful ways. And yet these simple aloof lyrics have an insistence of their own, and will, I believe, give this volume an appreciative audience.
