TIME OUT FOR ADVENTURE

Two newspaper men set out from Monterey to explore Mexico by plane, train and horseback. Working south and east, they managed to see it in all its charm and fascination, to get into the heart and spirit of the rural districts, to feel sympathetic interest in the people. One gets a ""feel"" of the country and a nostalgia for a glimpse of it. Of Mexico City they tell less, taking for granted that adequate guide books set the plan of sightseeing, and putting the emphasis, rather on the things that might be missed. A travel book, with enough of the practical to interest anyone going to Mexico, but enough of the romantic to be good reading for the armchair traveler.
