KIRKUS REVIEW

Paul Brandon is a typical Paul Pry at the age of ten. He sees too much, hears too much and is suspected of blabbing it all by neighbors whose privacy he has constantly invaded. Which neighbor had sufficient motive to kill the boy is the problem of one of his neighbors --Lt. Vic Varallo of the Glenoaks, California force (an increasingly familiar and always welcome figure in detective fiction). The suspense is high, the question of intensity of motive nicely handled, the police routine made interesting and the characterization excellent.
