KIRKUS REVIEW

Arizona territory for an old style Western, rough and tough, with plenty of gunplay, as Jim Contrell leaves his ranch to track down Rebel Jack, who killed his younger brother. The trail leads to El Fidel, where almost on arrival he wounds Horseshoe Bastable's number one gunman, and with the aid of Kentucky Tom Leber's son, is forced to take sides in the range warfare between the Horseshoe Combine and Kentucky Tom's ranch. There's romance and violence and death before the mystery is solved and the end smooths out.
