OLD BILL & SON

A classic of the last war put into fiction by his creator (with editorial assistance), and brought up to date, with British humor, amusing in spots, sentimental in spots, and all very characteristic of the character as he has been immortalized on stage and in pictures. He has come through the years of peace, but with another war, he cannot resist joining up, though not in an active capacity. He follows his son to France -- gets into adventures and misadventures -- and winds up capturing, single handed, a machine gun nest of Germans, only to find his son before him. One wonders-after brief checking -- how much this generation knows of Old Bill?
