FALSE TO ANY MAN

The old favorite trio in the spotlight again, until one begins to think that Alexandria and Georgetown must be filled with murder and sudden death, and that the charming little widow has a faculty for putting her nose into trouble. Once again she holds many of the clues, but conceals and confuses them, making it very difficult for her gruff admirer, the Colonel, and his devoted Sergeant Buck. This time the victim is well out of the way, and the killer is not suspect until the last. But somehow, the story isn't quite fair to the reader, nor are the motives quite clear. Leslie Ford has done better work than this. But she writes likeable yarns.
