A thesaurus of significant passages, topically classified, which should provide a practical reference tool for teachers and preachers, and a useful book for stimulating and inspirational reading for laymen. The approach is geared to more modern needs, and follows the same plan as used in secular collection of literary quotations. The subjects are arranged in alphabetical order, with duplication avoided by cross references immediately after the headings, and the quotations themselves follow in Biblical sequence. The subject index at the beginning supplies a complete index of subjects and cross references. Theological bias plays no part in this. The King James version is the only one used.
