KIRKUS REVIEW

When their parents died Joyce and Kenneth Hunt took over the management of the silver fox farm on Candle Island, in the Alaskan peninsula. Their project is endangered by enemies who set traps for their animals and fire to their fields. Rex Shaw, a young archaeologist who was stranded on their beach, helps them to outwit the criminals, and in return, Joyce becomes guide and counsellor to Rex in his search for Aleutian mummies. Native superstition and volcanic eruptions push this thriller to an amiable conclusion. This holds the interest but would not be long remembered. Action drawings in black and white.
