KIRKUS REVIEW

Mark and Jane, two young children, tramp their neighborhood in search of a home for one of their kittens. The kitten proves more successful when he sets out, and warms the cookies of grumpy old Mrs. Heston's heart-- she naturally decides to keep him. Contentment reigns in this tale which is about as ordinary and interesting as a Dick and Jane reader. The author has done better with biographies, such as The Young Victoria (1962, p.327, J-102).
