Feminine frenzy here for Elizabeth, when, seeing success in view for her musician fiance, John, now that he is presented by conductor Himbert, she also sees that success jeopardized by Coca Himbert, who appropriates her husband's proteges and leads to their professional undoing. Planning to kill Coca time and again, Elizabeth is sure she is guilty when Coca is found dead, is cleared by John, and, learning the identity of the killer -- maintains silence. Not brains, not brawn, just emotion, and overwrought at that.
