Rice man-poor girl -- the rocky road to true love, set in a college town in the east. There is a certain warmth in the telling; the characters -- though types are likable and hold the reader's sympathy; it's a popular setting and the time-worn plot has a new twist and a realistic end. Well-written of its type, though it could do without a few cliches and be the better for it, but it is sure fire for rental libraries and popular romance shelves in public libraries.
