KIRKUS REVIEW

A character builder for beginning readers captures a very important young feeling and matches the excellence of the author's former Cub Scout story- From Bobcat to Wolf (1952). Six year old Missie is at the point of tears when her friends up the street form an exclusive club- to which only kids with babies in the family can belong. But the misery's quelled when her older friend Pete gets a new idea- a club for oldests, youngests and one in the middle.
