GOLDIE AND YELLOWHAMMER

A Buff Orpington hen and a Tiger kitten were friends, and this- in pictures and running captions- tells why their friendship started and how it ended. Goldie had her eggs taken away from her so she adopted Yellowhammer, much to the annoyance of old Cockle-crow. But when Goldie managed to keep a nest of eggs from discovery, the kitten was left to his own devices, and found another friend, a Persian tabby down the street. The pencil drawings are full of action and character.
