KIRKUS REVIEW

There is an attractive and indefineable freshness about these prose sketches and poems about life in a very small western town somewhere on the edge of the desert. There is nothing labored in this work; it is sincere and spontaneous, and written in limpid manner and with simple natural emotion. Perhaps this volume will raise no particular stir -- it lacks style and self conscious artistry; it lacks the dark themes of today- but it is that rare thing- pleasant reading.
