KIRKUS REVIEW

Written primarily for a British public (and just why it is being published here I couldn't say) this has a certain validity of purpose but is a very dull presentation of the cause for world federation- here termed Western Union. Using the American Revolution as the deadly parallel for today, here is the example of that war's failure to achieve peace until the Civil War made it an actuality. Once again the peace after World War II has brought no real harmony, and with the quoted words of Bevin, Churchill, Attlee, and others, this is a text by text reproduction of speeches and proposals made for the creation of an international constitution.
