NIGHT OF WENCESLAS

Nicolas Whistler, a young man with improvident habits (an MG), a tenacious girl- Maura, and hopes of a big legacy, is coerced into a European assignment to secure, in Prague, the formula for some Czechoslovakian ""glass"". A return visit there convinces him of the deadly seriousness of his mission (enemy espionage); he is followed, threatened, beaten; and after having flushed the valuable information down the W.C., he makes his way to freedom to become the ""prisoner of Zenda"" of the British Embassy... Lots of high spirits here- and like a shot of Slivovitz- potent and unpredictable.
