KIRKUS REVIEW

Botticelli's Madonna and Infant, on loan to a U.S. Museum, is a temptation to mobster Nick Dekota, and there is a live replica -- an unwed mother who has her baby on the back seat of the car used for the picture theft. All are held by Dekota but the ransom for the picture, a million dollars, is used to retrieve the mother and child as well... Not his best- a set up situation which doesn't quite go down.
