GOOD MORNING, RIVER!

In a gentle idyll taking place during the cycle from winter to winter, old Carl introduces young Katherine to a river in all its moods. In the fall, Carl is ill, but Katherine has gained enough confidence to call out his greeting to the familiar stream and hear the echoed reply. With minimal, barely suggested detail, Ray's lovely, shimmering watercolors evoke the pair's affection and the natural beauty they share.
