THE HAPPY SKI ABC

Entertaining rather than instructive is this A to Z picture dictionary of ski language. Terms such as kanone, mogul, ruecklage, and wedein are graphically defined and accompanied with scraps of knowledge (""in the AIPS children are practically born on skis""), and helpful reminders (""put your weight on DOWNHALL SKI, always""). There are also brief explanations and diagrams of the different positions, movements and turns, which will probably be useful only to those who already have some idea of how these are done. With Lisl Weil's amusing sketches of action on the slopes, this book will be attractive to ski devotees of all ages.
