IF EGGS HAD LEGGS: Nonsense and Some Sense

This sprightly little nonsense book consists of number rhymes, unguessable riddles (""How does a monster drink his tea? Hanging from a tree""), six-line mini-stories (also in rhyme), wishes, sayings, pictures formed by the letters that spell the objects depicted, etc. It's the sort of froth kids themselves might stir up in a silly mood; they won't find this much funnier, but Weil does manage to keep it aerated--if only by rapid motion.
