A little rhino sad because he has no horn? No, it isn't in the shower with Daddy that he feels inadequate but at a picnic with his older siblings, all of whom can twirl apples on the ends of their snouts. Though borrowing an elephant's tusks and then a moose's antlers results only in mishaps, Ralphi hasn't long to suffer. . . for ""that very night. . . Ralphi felt a little bump. . ."" and now, sure enough, he can play ""Twirl the Apple"" too. Despite the protruding symbolism there is nothing outstanding about Weil's treatment of an overexploited formula.
