HOW TO MANAGE WITHOUT A MAID

The most practical and simplest of the ""doing without"" domestic books to date, and the first to mean what it says. Sound advice for the many who are facing the problem for the first time -- good jacking up for the rest of us housekeepers, for we all have occasional bouts of ""doing without a maid"". These girls are great ones for gadgets and labor saving devices -- they discuss your kitchen, layout, equipment and utensils (without much regard to priorities I fear). The more valuable part is the planning of time, laying out a work schedule, time allotments for details of cooking, cleaning, etc. Cleaning in detail, laundry (with concrete suggestions) planning and executing a party, odd help if and when you need it.
