by Livingstone in Africa

Cecil Northcott, editorial secretary of the United Society for Christian Literature (London) can in this brief book do no more than introduce David Livingstone to the reader, but he does succeed in bringing him to life with much of the zeal and fire that characterizes his subject in exploring and bringing the Christian Gospel to the heart of darkest Africa. He is portrayed as geographer, botanist, medical man, but above all, in his selfless concern for man as one who ""being dead yet speaketh"".
