AND LET THE CREDIT GO

This probably is meant to be fiscal funnery, but the little taste and less humor will not appeal to a discriminating audience — or to bankers. From High School, into The Bank as a messenger, the author careens through a variety of episodes having to do with his work and with the personalities throughout The Bank. There was a suicide, a race track gambler, an ex-prize fighter, a French chef in the cafeteria and a surprise in the safe deposit boxes. Along with banking operations there were operations romance; there was carol singing at Christmas and a dancing party for the staff; there was fast trading in rumors in the men's room. And there were personal incidents, as the boy grew older, that were divorced from the bank....Tabloidish.
