KIRKUS REVIEW

A simple direct method of learning the fundamentals of tennis, presented by the brother and teacher of the professional player, Don Budge. With photographs concise captions, and amplifications in successive chapters, Lloyd Budge teaches the grip, the forehand stroke, the batting the ball, the theories of timing, of footwork, of gauging heights of bounce, the backhand stroke, the serve, supplementary strokes, court strategy and position play, doubles game, and in a final chapter he gives the basic factors in selection of the racket. An excellent addition to the Barnes sport library.
