KIRKUS REVIEW

On your very next birthday/I'll give you the moon/On the end of a string/Like a golden balloon"" begins this sprightly exploration in verse of a number of things the moon might be--a ball, a coin, a hammock, a harp. ""There are so many things/You can do with a moon!"" This rather slight but pleasantly imaginative exercise is appropriately illustrated with playful watercolors of a pretty, toyland-like world. Acceptable but not outstanding.
