Some rather humorous pictures by the author accompany simplified versions of the stories of Moses, Balsam, Balaam Joshua, Samson, Samuel, Ruth and David. The pictures are in blue and red, arranged four to a page and peopled with small cartoon-like people, animals and objects that relate stories in themselves. The humor of expression is broad but simple and adds a new note of friendliness to the often austerely presented tales. Nice.
