LITTLE BABY ANN

Lois Lenski has, for the moment, departed from her true and tried medium, and gone in for something that savors of (1) the type of photograph book for children that has been popular of recent years; (2) illustrations which attempt the photographic effect, a la Peggy Bacon. I don't like it. I think small children will resent the inaccuracies of Baby Ann's oddly distorted small body. Perhaps I'm wrong -- but try it on a small child.
