DAVY'S DAY

Lois Lenski has somehow or other found the secret of winning the loyal devotion of a small army of tiny tots with just this sort of elementary primer picture story book, (The Little Auto, etc.) This addition to her list seems -- to one adult -- to lack the touchstone; perhaps the children will prove me wrong. In almost comic stri-technique, she reviews the daily activity routine in pictures in flat color and line, and simple captions. The result seems oversimplified -- it has been better done.
