This book, while artistically inferior to Deedo and Fawny is right up the alley of the average small boy and girl interest and understanding and appreciation. It is another -- and the best --of the Small adventures. This time Mr. Small is an engineer, and the text and the pictures tell how the train works, and what the various signals mean, and helps answer the million and one questions that small children ask on their first train rides. The shape is slightly different from the three others (dealing with the little auto, airplane and sailboat), conforming somewhat to the picture book shape, in smaller dimensions. Cloth binding. Nice clear type. Would serve as a good primer for those just beyond picture story books.
