KIRKUS REVIEW

A tiny book for Davy-fans, this gives the familiar interchanges of boy-and puppy fun. Spot hides. He spats with a cat. He does tricks. The primer prose is very easy, with plenty of word-repetition to encourage eager readers with limited word recognition range. There's an original song by Lois Lenski about a little dog, with illustrations characteristic of her books in brown and green. A little story reassuringly familiar in pleasant miniature form. Firmly stitched.
