KIRKUS REVIEW

There is a Dunsany cult, almost, and this will appeal to all his followers. There is, as always, the call of the Irish background and flavor; there is humor; there is a penetration into the fundamentals of Irish character; there is beauty and poetry in the telling. The story is one of the local hill feuds and miniature wars that succeeded the greater struggle of the Irish rebellion.
