KIRKUS REVIEW

This book is good nonsense which will appeal to a small child's sense of fun. Patches was made up over leftover pieces and never quite fitted the litter. Furthermore, the bark had been left out, and Patches feared he could not be a proper watchdog. So he learned to make sounds into the phone- and it was he summoned aid when the house was burgled.
