KIRKUS REVIEW

This book of experiments by the authors of Experiments in Science and Experiments in Electricity should be a hit with readers of junior high school age. In the wide variety of simple, interesting problems in the physical and biological sciences the materials needed for the experimentation are simple and easily obtained. Best of all, each activity is related to familiar mechanical and natural phenomena -- compasses and magnets, helicopters, roots and soil, the wind, and color are some of the subjects discussed -- so that the experiments take on significance rather than being merely stunts in science. A very worthwhile supplementary book for schools and libraries.
