A short book which carries a punch, in a fearless analysis of the problems of imperialism as a barrier to peace. It is a violent denunciation of those forces which are emerging, epitomized in the British attitude towards India, warp and woof of the peace problem. He attacks the British ""divide and control"" policy, blames them for the inadequacies of their social program in India, charges them with being afraid to relinquish Empire, to live up to the Atlantic Charter. He calls this a social war to remake the 'world and challenges America to strike out for freedom and equality of opportunity in the Orient as well as in Europe, and citizens-not politicians-to write the peace.
