JUMPING BEANS

The little book in play format is set up in a manner which affords opportunities for a production by youngsters. The two characters-- a shopkeeper and a bean-buying woman-- and the beans are simply executed in one color each, and their respective speeches are colored to match (e.g. the woman is in blue, her speeches and a little picture of her which precedes each one are in the same color). Although unexceptional as a book, with five-year-old squirming beans and a small bean buyer, it would make a very short, amusing play. Obvious value for teachers.
