KIRKUS REVIEW

While the returning serviceman who may have the possibility of retailing in mind will find this a useful primer on retailing, the authors make no attempt to key their content specifically to that need. The first half of the book deals with basic information -- the things everyone in the field must know -- kind of store, location, appearance fundamentals, how to buy, merchandising, the budget, stock turnover, records, etc. The last part deals with types of shops -- written by authorities in each field.
