THE WARDEN OF THE MARCHES

No love interest in this adventure story of the mountains between China and Tibet, ruled by the Warden and kept from rebellious outbreaks by a wise young Englishman. Though there are fights and decapitations this is not a blood and thunder yarn as the action is secondary to the battles of Oriental wit in which the Englishman comes out victor. Well written and not cut to pattern.
