LITTLE BAPTISTE

By

Publisher: Houghton, Mifflin

A big adventure for a little boy in French Canada has a folk quality to the story and a boisterous gaiety to the pictures that make the fantasy-and the moral it illustrates- quite convincing. For when a circus train is wrecked near their failing farm Little Baptiste and his parents learn from their experience with the animals that music helps one work far better. A pleasant book, by the familiar author artist team. Weak stitching.
