RIDE WESTERN

Two men on a horse? Not quite: Dave Jones is primarily interested in training, Louis Taylor in riding the Western horse. But a great deal of their material takes the same tack. Both discuss the training of the rope horse for instance, and the cutting horse. Both say what to look for in a horse. Dave Jones is the more exact, more the experienced hand advising on everything from training the Western colt to ""taming the rank ones,"" the balanced ride, accidents and their prevention, even photographing the Western horse. Louis Taylor takes up training too of reining, rope, steer, and trail horses, also gives a history of Western horsemanship and advice on advanced techniques.
