IN THE MORNING: Twenty Bible Verses

The verses have been selected by a group of religious educators and take into consideration the four year olds' limited vocabulary, the relative simplicity of concept, and the possibility of showing -- in pictures -- familiar child activities that lend significance to the text. But frankly it is of questionable value to present a small child with a segment of a sentence and expect emotional response. Possibly the chief value lies in starting to build a sense of familiarity at this age level. The text is taken from the King James version and the American Standard version of the Revised Bible. Drawings reproduced in pale green and grey.
