THE CRYSTAL TREE

Good bet for light summer reading -- will appeal to the conservative romanticist. A story of likeable youngsters, and of the efforts of loyal, hard-working Quail to keep the balance in a household composed of four young people and a diet-loving chaperon. True love is almost wrecked by self-centered Mabel -- but it all comes out right, and makes pleasant reading.
