LITTLE SAM AND THE TIGERS

Sam Little, often called Little Sam, is sent to a bigger school-out of the valley, and he turns down an invitation to become a tiger on the first day-not knowing just what that might be. His troubles worsen when inadvertently he exposes the tigers, a secret club, to the principal who tries to start a new club which none of the youngsters want. Sam finds his own way, after an accident, to make friends with his quick thinking and even faster running.... The sunny geniality of the earlier books (The Trip Down Catfish Creek and That Summer on atalpa Street) for a small story based on everyday experience. Easy to read and recognize.
