THE FISHERMAN AND HIS BOAT

What a fisherman does in a small fishing village off the Florida coast is the subject of a book for young children. Sometimes he fishes at night, other times in the early morning. He knows where to find mackerel as well as mullet. His net is very important and in some cases even his car, which excites the fish inside the net. The simplicity of the text and pictures are incongruous with the detailed descriptions given. The book is meant for the very young, few of whom will be held by some of the vocabulary and ideas presented here.
