THE ISLANDS OF HAWAII

An easy vocabulary and a leisurely style make this a cordial introduction to our 50th state for the youngest members of this age group. The customs of the colorful, multi-national, multi-lingual islanders are presented in words and pictures -- food and holidays. The agricultural economy of Hawaii and the machines and men that bring the crops in are also described. Except for Mr. Floethe's veruse of a color that might kindly be called ""Caribbean Pink"" (and more honestly designated as ""Poison Pink""), his stylized island scenes have a neat eye appeal in a well-balanced layout.
