THE FLYING FAMILY OF GREENLAND

I liked it, much to my surprise, for -- along with many others -- I felt that the mishap which catapulted the ""flying family"" into the midst of icebergs off the coast of Greenland, ""served them right for taking the children along"". Now I'm a convert. In this, the true story of the trip, the youngsters seem very game, normal children, and the story of their adventures makes good reading and is filled with the kinds of details about planes and flying and the practical data that every wide--awake boy or girl today finds interesting. The style, at the start, seems a bit labored, but gets smoother, as the author gathers momentum.
