KIRKUS REVIEW

The path of true love never did run smooth -- such is the text for this homely story of the German country girl who comes to the Middle West to continue a musical career, and manages to fall heir to a manufactured job on a newspaper during the period when she needs it. She has a rude awakening, when it comes to her ""good provider"" -- but this only serves to shift the focus of her attention, and after some bad moments, Anny and the paper and the owner of the paper patch things up. Can't say much for the style.
