101 HOME FURNISHINGS AND HOW TO MAKE THEM

By

Publisher: Harper

Practical how-to-do-book, which should be useful for handicraft classes, camps, schools, etc. and in addition have a general market for avid readers of household hints in women's magazines and newspapers. One could wish for a section on basic tools, materials, substitutes, procedure. But in the main, each article is self-sufficient, complete with data on materials needed, and step by step procedure. Elementary school craft training is probably an adequate background -- or perhaps only a general commonsense understanding of using hands and simple tools. The 101 home furnishings are for the most part simple, practical, inexpensive and useful objects, -- shelves for various purposes, dressing tables, footstools, bedspreads, ornaments, etc.
